Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors (hooking and switching).
• Coordinate trailer movements with management/central control.
• Document trailer moves in Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Adhere to yard safety processes and procedures.
• Handle packages as needed, including loading/unloading and sorting by hand.
• Utilize hand-to-surface methods for all package handling.
• Operate conveyor systems and read labels/charts to sort packages.
