Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers in the yard and assist with loading and unloading packages. The role requires coordination with management to optimize trailer movements and to perform safety inspections on equipment.

Qualifications

• No education required.
• Six months of package handling or switcher/CDL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors; assist with loading/unloading.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using yard management system or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Load and unload packages onto vehicles and conveyors.
• Sort packages by reading labels and using scanners.
