Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Dockworker to safely handle and maneuver tractor/trailers and equipment in the yard to support loading and unloading operations. You will operate a forklift, cube and load freight, and perform pre/post-shift inspections to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include loading freight securely, setting up and breaking down trailers, and maintaining communication with dock supervision and drivers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• CDL holder: registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse if driving on public roads.
• CDL holder: must have acceptable MVR.
• Experience in transportation is a plus but not required.
• Stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor/trailers and other equipment for loading/unloading in the yard.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of yard/dock equipment.
• Cube, load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Load freight to prevent damage using blocking, bracing, and load bars/straps/dunnage.
• Set up, break down and hook trailers safely; ensure tilt bar is lowered when loading.
