Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years of age.
• CDL and acceptable MVR required if driving on public roads.
• If CDL holder, must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience in transportation a plus though not required.
• Stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor/trailers and other large equipment in the yard.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of yard and dock equipment.
• Cube, load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Block and brace freight to prevent movement and damage in transit.
• Set up, break down and hook trailers safely and properly.
• Monitor yard for unsafe drivers and non-employees; notify management.
• Communicate effectively with Dock supervision, Line Haul drivers and Fleet Services personnel.
