Job summary

AWP Safety in Frederick, CO is seeking a Yard Tech to load, unload, and move materials and rental equipment, perform basic yard maintenance, and keep work areas clean and organized.

You will inspect equipment, follow safety procedures, assist customers with rentals, operate hand and power tools, and work independently or with a team in all weather conditions; strong attention to detail and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Experience using hand tools and power equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment by hand or with equipment.

Job Description

The Yard Tech is responsible for

• Loading, unloading, and moving materials and items by hand or using material handling equipment.
• Assisting with loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
• Sorting and stacking materials and equipment in designated areas.
• Performing general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and organizing the yard.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Checking equipment in and out of the yard and ensuring they are fit for work.
• Performing basic yard maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the yard.
• Performing routine inspections and minor repairs on rental equipment.
• Assisting customers with equipment rentals and explaining safety and operation procedures.
• Loading and unloading heavy equipment onto delivery trucks.
• Performing preventive maintenance on yard equipment and tools.

The base pay offered for this position is $18.81-$22.00 p/hr and will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
