Job summary

AWP Safety in Redding, CA is seeking a Warehouse Worker to support the Branch Manager and Operations Manager. You will perform manual labor in yards/projects, operate a company vehicle for deliveries, and handle tools and equipment while maintaining a safe, organized site.

You may assist with front counter duties as needed. Responsibilities include stage and transport equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure proper safety and incident reporting.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to follow multiple instructions and to work well in a team.
  • Strong focus on safety and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform strenuous manual labor in construction yards/projects.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Worker role will assist the Branch Manager and Operations Manager for the Redding Branch.

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at the yards and/or projects. They will operate a company vehicle while making product deliveries as well as a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare yards or sites, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. They may also assist in road sign fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction yards/projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use
  • Make deliveries as needed
  • Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supply
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment
  • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Material handling and storage
  • Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (filled with fuel, fluids inspected and topped, appropriate tire pressure)
  • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
  • Material Delivery to jobsites
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Branch Manager or Operations Manager
  • Receive all inbound material and provide counts and documentation to Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager and Operations Manager
  • May assist with front counter
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Inventory and cycle count experience a plus
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction.
  • Ability to follow multiple instructions.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Basic experience in data entry/computer skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Customer-service-oriented mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to adhering to and promoting safe workplace practice.
  • Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, free of suspension or revocation. (Any position that requires the individual to drive an AWP vehicle and/or be present at an AWP worksite for any reason is considered a safety sensitive position).
Compensation

$19-20 / hour. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
