Job summary

Cisco Equipment Rentals LLC is seeking a Yard Technician to join a growing team. The role involves operating and coordinating heavy equipment, ensuring safe handling, and maintaining the yard to standard.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma and is able to read and write English. forklift certification is preferred, with additional duties as needed to support the rental department.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and analytical thinking required to handle equipment safely.
• Ability to prioritize work and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Experience with heavy construction equipment preferred; two or more years recommended.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of heavy equipment on trucks.
• Keep the equipment yard clean and well-maintained.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for the position.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Personal skills must include mechanical ability, analytical thinking, and work organization. This position requires knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, heavy construction/farm and material handling equipment, repair methods and records. This individual must have the ability to prioritize the work to be done and focus on it, possess a high sense of urgency, to be thorough with the work being done, to offer his/her best knowledge of the situation to be used, project integrity and credibility to the company.
• Must have the ability to oversee loading and unloading of heavy equipment on trucks.
• Must be willing to keep an equipment yard clean and maintained.
• Must maintain a well-groomed professional appearance appropriate for the position.
• Performing any other duties as may be required

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to read and write English
• Two or more years' experience in heavy construction equipment; preferred
• Must be forklift certified or pass a certification course

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing, squatting, bending, or stetting.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
• Must be able to pass a WorkSteps exam (fit for duty) and pre-employment drug screening
