Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer between yard and doors.
• Coordinates trailer movements with management or central control.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Adheres to yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from delivery vehicles, trailers, and carts.
• Lifts and moves packages for two to four hour shifts as needed.
• Uses scanning and sorting to direct packages onto conveyors.
