Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door, and from a door to the yard.
• Communicate with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Assist with package handling: load/unload packages onto/off delivery vehicles, trailers, and carts.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and memorizing information for accurate routing.
