Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a yard switcher to manage trailer movements and package handling in the FedEx yard. You will switch trailers between yard and doors, coordinate with central control, and document moves.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, following safety procedures, and loading/unloading parcels onto vehicles and conveyors. No experience required, but reliability and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver''s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages.
• Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling packages repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Switch and move trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management/central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Load and unload packages onto/from vehicles, conveyors and carts.
