Ace Hardware is hiring a Spotter to support yard operations in a full-time role with a 6:30am–3pm schedule. You will perform vehicle and trailer safety checks, couple/uncouple trailers, operate a forklift for cross-dock tasks, and maintain clean work areas. Must be at least 18 and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations
• Knowledge of DOT regulations on equipment standards and inspections
• CDL A Certification preferred
• Hazmat and Doubles endorsements

Responsabilidades

• Performs a complete safety and mechanical check of the Yard truck and trailers to be moved.
• Climbs into cab, drives to trailers, backs up to the trailer, raises 5th wheel, makes connections, climbs down to remove wheel chock, climb up into cab and drives away.
• Backs the trailer into the designed spot, disconnects the trailer, installs chocks.
• Drives forklift to make up cross dock loads.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
