Sims Metal is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Yard Jockey / Yard Spotter to support daily yard operations at our Philadelphia facility. This role moves, positions, and organizes trailers and ensures efficient flow of equipment and materials while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications include prior experience operating yard or spotter trucks, CDL preferred but not required, ability to pass a DOT physical, and comfortable working outdoors in variable weather.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating yard trucks or spotter trucks.
• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Pass a DOT physical examination.
• Comfortable working outdoors in an industrial environment and varying weather conditions.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures.

Aufgaben

• Safely move and position trailers throughout the facility.
• Transport trailers to designated loading, unloading, and staging areas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Communicate with operations personnel to coordinate trailer movements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
• Assist with additional yard duties as needed.
