Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Spotter/Driver to perform safety checks on yard trucks and trailers, drive to trailers, connect/disconnect, and secure loads for cross-dock operations. You may also operate a forklift to facilitate loading and keep areas tidy and safe.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year truck driving experience, and the ability to work non-traditional shifts. CDL A with Hazmat/Doubles is a plus; benefits include weekly pay and comprehensive health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred
• CDL A certification preferred with Hazmat and Doubles endorsements
• Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer experience
• Knowledge of DOT equipment standards and inspections

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and mechanical checks on yard truck and trailers
• Drive, back trailers, connect/disconnect, and secure loads
• Operate forklift for cross-dock loads and housekeeping duties
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
