Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Yard Operator in Tacoma to maneuver tractor trailers for loading and unloading, ensuring safe yard and dock operations. This role requires maintaining equipment and complying with DOT regulations, with a rotating 12-hour shift.

The position offers growth potential, health coverage, and 160 hours of paid time off in the first year, along with a 24.70 USD base hourly rate plus a 1.15 USD differential. CDL and related driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CDL and commercial driving experience preferred.
• 2+ years of work experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and maneuver equipment in the yard prior to dispatch.
• Ensure the safe movement of equipment around the yard and warehouse.
• Be willing to work flexible hours.
• Maintain equipment while on site.
• Drop and hook tractors to trailers.
• Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips.
