Job summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide is seeking a Driver, Yard in Tacoma, WA to move trucks and trailers in dock yards and work closely with loaders and supervisors. This role offers home daily and requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications include a valid CDL with acceptable MVR, FMCSA clearance, and the ability to operate a forklift. A minimum of two years driving experience and passing a road test are required. Travel may be up to 30% for certain operations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR required for driving on public roads.
• CDL holder must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must be able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Must be able to operate a forklift (7500 lb).
• Passing a road test is required.
• Must adhere to FMCSA and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading/unloading.
• Collaborate with loaders and supervisors; be home daily.
• Maintain safety, quality, and security procedures.
• Operate equipment and perform safety functions (manual transmission, tire chaining, etc.).
• Follow C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
• Perform dock work and loading/unloading as needed.
• Keep records and comply with regulations.
