Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Yard Associate to oversee and direct yard activities, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods on site. You will supervise loading/unloading, assist customers, and maintain stock accuracy under safety guidelines.

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years yard/manufacturing exp.
• Experience coordinating yard activities.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Directs loading, unloading and movement of materials on premises; oversees receiving and storage procedures.
• Inspects loading operations for outgoing deliveries; prepares bills of lading and packing slips.
• Provides on-the-job training to new yard employees on product knowledge and safety procedures.
• Ensures outdoor areas are neat; recycles or disposes yard debris and reports safety hazards.
• Assists customers in loading and provides delivery status information and inventory availability.
