Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Yard Supervisor to direct yard personnel, oversee loading, unloading and movement of materials and ensure safe operations on site.

You will train staff, maintain equipment, assist customers with loading and delivery information, and enforce safety procedures in an outdoor yard environment in Springdale, AR. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required and five years of yard ops experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus five years yard operations experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to operate yard equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Proven supervisory and training skills.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Directs yard staff and loads/unloads materials on-site.
• Ensures equipment is serviced and maintained on schedule.
• Inspects loading operations and prepares packing slips.
• Provides training and guidance to yard personnel.
• Makes sure outdoor areas are kept clean and safety hazards are reported.
• Assists customers with loading and delivery information.
• Leads safety meetings and enforces safety procedures.
• Oversees performance and training of team members.
