Job summary

Builders FirstSource seeks a Yard/Operations Supervisor to oversee yard personnel and ensure safe, efficient movement of goods. You’ll supervise loading, unloading, and material handling, while guiding teams and maintaining inventory information.

The role requires strong communication, ability to plan work, and hands-on experience with yard machinery. Outdoor, physically demanding environment; safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years’ yard/manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Experience directing yard activities and training new employees.
• Ability to read schedules, write reports and apply basic math.

Responsibilities

• Direct workers in loading, unloading and movement of materials on site.
• Inspect loading operations and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Provide on-the-job training on products, safety and procedures.
• Assist customers with loading and inventory inquiries.
• Maintain clean outdoor areas and address safety hazards.
