Contract Lumber in Blackstone, Virginia is hiring a Yard Manager to supervise the yard, oversee receiving, production and shipping of building materials, and protect company assets. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires compliance with OSHA/DOT/FMCSA rules.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with employees, management, and customers.
• Works with Operations Manager to ensure department is staffed appropriately.
• Collaborates with the sales team on order issues and resolution.
• Schedules production.
• Ensures accuracy in delivery of materials to job sites.
• Track and monitor inventory status, usage, costs, and trends.
• Assists with safety training and adherence to safety practices.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as required.
