Job summary

Contract Lumber, Inc. in Blackstone, Virginia, is seeking a Yard Manager to oversee yard operations, receiving, production and shipping of building materials. You will ensure safety, compliance with OSHA, DOT and FMCSA, and work under the Operations Manager.

This full-time role is Monday–Friday, 1st shift with overtime as needed. The package includes full benefits, profit sharing and a 401K, with competitive pay of $75,000–$85,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee yard operations including receiving, production and shipping of building materials.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA, DOT and FMCSA; act as Safety Leader for the yard.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and Sales to staff and schedule workload.
• Track inventory levels, usage, costs and trends; initiate stock purchases as needed.
• Ensure accurate delivery of materials to job sites and maintain records.
