Job summary

Contract Lumber in Blackstone, Virginia is seeking a Yard Manager to supervise yard operations, receive and ship materials, and safeguard inventory and facilities.

You will ensure safety compliance, coordinate with the Operations Manager and sales team, and lead a team to maintain accurate delivery and inventory levels. The position offers a Monday–Friday 1st shift with overtime as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in yard or warehouse operations.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Knowledge of inventory management and OSHA/DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise yard operations, including receiving, production and shipping of materials.
• Protect company assets, facilities, equipment and inventory.
• Ensure safety training and OSHA/DOT/FMCSA compliance; partner with Operations Manager.
