Contract Lumber in Blackstone, Virginia is seeking a Yard Manager to supervise the yard, oversee receiving, production and shipping of building materials.

The role requires ensuring safety, managing inventory, coordinating with the Operations Manager and sales team, and maintaining OSHA/DOT/FMCSA compliance. This is a full-time position with benefits, profit sharing, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Experience in construction materials is preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented with a great attitude.

Responsabilités

• Communicate clearly with employees, management and customers.
• Schedule production and ensure department staffing.
• Ensure accurate delivery of materials to job sites.
• Monitor inventory levels and usage trends.
• Coordinate with Sales on order issues and resolution.
• Oversee safety initiatives and OSHA compliance.
