Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Specialist – Yard Operations who coordinates and monitors daily delivery activities by dispatching trailers into and out of the yard, ensuring timely movement and security. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with flexible shifts.

Candidates should be customer-service oriented and comfortable using Yard Management System software.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and logical thinking.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Yard Management System experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, and/or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/out truck drivers using Yard Management System
• Coordinate warehouse and transportation shipping schedules
• Perform inbound trailer inspections to ensure compliance with security protocol
• Handle and resolve conflict
• Maintain clean, safe, efficient work environment
• Other duties may be assigned as appropriate and in accordance with business needs
