Cargomatic is seeking a highly organized Yard Manager to oversee daily yard operations, driver dispatch, freight tracking, and customer communication. This role serves as the hub of operational workflows, ensuring yard equipment is safe and organized and loads are dispatched efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, freight, and yard operations.
• Valid CDL and current DOT Physical card.
• Strong computer proficiency with data-entry and the ability to learn new TMS, GPS, and tracking tools.
• Proven ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts to meet operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard activity to maintain an organized, safe yard.
• Coordinate staging, parking, movement of containers, chassis, trailers.
• Maintain real-time records of yard equipment and assets.
• Dispatch drivers and assign freight loads based on availability and needs.
• Provide clear pickup and delivery instructions to drivers.
• Monitor loads and intervene to prevent delays.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and accurate data in TMS.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatch, terminals, and customers.
