Job summary

Jacintoport International in Houston is hiring for a dock-position that moves various commodities using heavy equipment. You will operate yard trucks and forklifts, perform routine inspections, and contribute to safe, efficient cargo handling in a fast-paced terminal.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year experience driving heavy equipment: mule jockey, tractor trailer, Empty Handler, or Toploader.
Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
Must be able to obtain HAZMAT certification within 30 days of start date.
Must be able to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) within 60 days of start date.
Must be able to read, write, and speak Basic English.
Must be able to work nights, overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate yard truck and forklifts to transport containers and general cargo safely.
Perform pre-shift inspection and report deficiencies.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.
Communicate with Foreman and co-workers to ensure correct loading/unloading.
Maintain logs of loads and daily shift activity as requested.
