Job summary

Jacintoport International is seeking a forklift operator to move commodities within the terminal using a 5K forklift. The role requires basic English, safety awareness, and readiness to obtain a TWIC within 90 days.

You will operate multiple forklifts and coordinate with the team to load, unload, and stage cargo for containers and trailers. The position offers long-term employment with growth opportunities and benefits including a 401(k) with employer match, health/dental/vision, tuition

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum forklift experience (5K-9K).
• Able to pass the forklift maneuvering exam.
• On-the-job training to operate 9K/10K/30K/52K and Yard Mule within 1 year.
• Handle heavy cargo in a fast-paced setting.
• Read, write, and speak basic English.
• Able to obtain TWIC within 90 days of start.
• Work well in a team and independently with initiative.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5K forklift to move materials to docks and into containers.
• Inspect forklift per safety guidelines and complete maintenance checklists.
• Track work and inventory using RF hand-held system.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and communicate with supervisor.
• Assist with loading/unloading and containerization as required.
• Ensure correct pallet IDs and proper containment for shipments.
