Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts Private Fleet is seeking a motivated individual to join a fast-paced transportation operations team. The role focuses on safely operating the yard mule and forklift on the dock to move trailers for loading and unloading.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of forklift experience, a valid driver license, and the ability to back trailers safely in tight spaces, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain a clean, organized terminal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operator experience.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Ability to operate yard mule/hostler to move trailers.
• Experience backing trailers in tight spaces is preferred.
• Understanding pre-post trip inspections and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operated yard spotter to move trailers within the yard and place for loading/unloading.
• Transport freight to/from inbound/outbound trailers using stacking and bracing techniques.
• Maintain accurate scans/counts and ensure shipments are undamaged.
• Perform minor maintenance on forklift and inspect equipment daily.
• Maintain clean, orderly dock and comply with OSHA/DOT safety standards.
