Job summary

Jacintoport-International-LLC is seeking a forklift operator to move commodities within the terminal using a 5K forklift. You will perform essential duties safely and efficiently, with on-the-job training for operating additional heavy equipment within the first year.

Standing around in a fast-paced warehouse, you will follow ISO guidelines and safety procedures while coordinating with teammates to ensure loads are correctly handled and directed to export containers or trailers.

Qualifications

• One (1) year minimum experience operating a 5k-9K forklift.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English.
• Must obtain Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC) within 90 days of start date.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and/or extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5K forklift to transport, relocate material and move loaded pallets to loading docks and containers.
• Inspect forklift before operating and complete maintenance checklist.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and communicate with supervisor to ensure correct loads.
• Adhere to ISO guidelines and safety procedures in daily operations.
