Job summary

Jacintoport International is hiring for a labor-intensive yard position in Houston. The role involves manual cargo handling, securing loads, and assisting the forklift team across the South Yard Operations.

Candidates must be able to lift heavy weights and work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Basic English, independent work, and strong initiative are required, with flexibility for extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have experience performing heavy manual labor.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Must work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must think logically, follow procedures and instructions.
• Must have or obtain a TWIC card within 60 days.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions in accordance with operating and safety guidelines.
• Manually lift and place wood on ground to prepare setup for cargo.
• Secure cargo to equipment such as chassis and moffets.
• Maintain a clean work area, free of debris and hazards.
• Assist forklift operator receiving and delivering cargo during operations.
• Perform other general yard duties as assigned.
