Job summary

BrandSafway is hiring an Office Assistant/Yard Attendant to manage yard and warehouse operations, inventory, and fleet activities from our Wichita facilities. You will ensure materials and equipment are stored, tracked, and available to meet customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing yard/warehouse/industrial ops.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving.
• Experience with equipment tracking and asset management.
• Ability to analyze inventory reports and metrics.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard and warehouse operations including receiving, storage, staging, loading and distribution.
• Manage fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and fleet performance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and asset utilization through tracking systems.
• Organize yard layouts and processes to maximize space and efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, inspection, and maintenance of materials and tools.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Oversee shipping/receiving with accurate documentation and timely movement.
• Assign daily workload, staffing needs, and priorities.
• Track equipment/material movement using inventory systems and reports.
• Implement process improvements to cut costs and boost workflow.
• Conduct yard/warehouse audits for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Maintain strong safety culture and enforce policies/regulations.
• Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers on material availability and deliveries.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory control and facility ops.
