Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a hands-on Yard Manager in Los Angeles, CA to oversee yard operations, fleet maintenance, inventory, and site deliveries. The role requires maintaining trucks and equipment, organizing tools, and coordinating with project teams throughout Southern California.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and ensuring safety and efficiency of yard and storage areas. Class A CDL and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid California Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• 3+ years in yard operations, fleet maintenance, or similar hands-on role.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, small engines, and equipment.
• Experience operating trucks and trailers and transporting equipment.
• Experience with inventory management and yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues for small engines and landscape/construction equipment.
• Maintain and organize yard, tools, materials, and supplies; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate deliveries and equipment moves with project teams and office staff.
• Transport equipment and materials to project sites across Southern California.
