Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a dependable Yard Equipment Operator to join our team in Morris, MN. In this hands-on role, you will organize materials, load and unload freight, and operate forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders while following safety procedures.

This position offers a day shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm, competitive hourly pay starting at $18-$22, and benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure (inch fractions).
• Ability to convert feet and inches.
• Experience operating machinery and material-handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and outdoors work.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and move outdoor materials and equipment to support production needs.
• Operate Forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders following all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform basic assembly activities and assist with production support tasks as needed.
• Level and grade yard areas to ensure proper organization and accessibility.
• Assist with final assembly processes and inspections when required.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound truck freight efficiently and safely.
• Complete assigned work according to established schedules and production requirements.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Westmor Industries is seeking a dependable Yard Equipment Operator to join our team.

In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain an organized yard, safely operate material-handling equipment, and support production operations that contribute to the delivery of high-quality products. As a Yard Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for organizing materials, loading and unloading freight, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily yard and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely handle and move outdoor materials and equipment to support production needs.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders following all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform basic assembly activities and assist with production support tasks as needed.

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour.
• Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and location.

Day Shift

• 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure, including 1/8\", 1/16\", and 1/32\" increments.
• Ability to convert feet and inches accurately.
• Experience operating machinery and material-handling equipment.

• Ability to perform physical work in an outdoor environment
