Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a dependable Yard Equipment Operator to join our team. This hands-on role involves maintaining an organized yard, safely operating material-handling equipment, and supporting production operations to deliver high-quality products.

The position features a day shift (6:00am-4:30pm) and starting pay of $18-$22 per hour, based on experience. Final compensation depends on skills and location in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure, including 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" increments.
• Ability to convert feet and inches accurately.
• Experience operating machinery and material-handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to perform physical work in an outdoor environment

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and move outdoor materials and equipment to support production needs.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders following all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform basic assembly activities and assist with production support tasks as needed.
• Level and grade yard areas to ensure proper organization and accessibility.
• Assist with final assembly processes and inspections when required.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound truck freight efficiently and safely.
• Complete assigned work according to established schedules and production requirements.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times

Yard Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for organizing materials, loading and unloading freight, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily yard and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely handle and move outdoor materials and equipment to support production needs.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders following all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, equipment, and work areas.

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour.
• Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and location.

Day Shift

• 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
