Job summary

Westmor Industries in Morris, MN is seeking a dependable Yard Equipment Operator to help keep the yard organized and support production operations. You will safely operate material-handling equipment and assist with loading and unloading freight.

This role requires safety-minded individuals who can work outdoors and cooperate with a team on day shifts (6:00am–4:30pm). Westmor Industries offers weekly pay, benefits, and a company‑matched 401(k).

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" increments.
• Able to convert feet and inches accurately.
• Experience operating machinery and material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Westmor Industries is seeking a dependable Yard Equipment Operator to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain an organized yard, safely operate material-handling equipment, and support production operations that contribute to the delivery of high-quality products. As a Yard Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for organizing materials, loading and unloading freight, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily yard and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely handle and move outdoor materials and equipment to support production needs.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, yard cranes, overhead cranes, and payloaders following all safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform basic assembly activities and assist with production support tasks as needed.
• Level and grade yard areas to ensure proper organization and accessibility.
• Assist with final assembly processes and inspections when required.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound truck freight efficiently and safely.
• Complete assigned work according to established schedules and production requirements.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour.
• Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and location.

Day Shift

• 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
