Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Crane Operator to support finished goods yard and shipping operations. The role involves safe movement, staging, loading, unloading, and inventory handling of HVAC equipment in an outdoor yard setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of heavy equipment experience. Mi-Jack or Travelift experience and CDL A are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years heavy equipment operating experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Mi-Jack MJ100 Straddle Carrier safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers and transport vehicles.
• Stage and position finished HVAC products in the storage yard.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Support inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
• Coordinate with logistics staff and yard leadership to meet shipping priorities.
• Maintain safety and compliance with company policies and site rules.
