Job summary

Mi-Jack is seeking a field service technician to service heavy lift equipment in diverse environments, from railjacks to gantry cranes. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and train customers and coworkers.

The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally, including Canada, and to work safely in outdoor field settings. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with 5-10 years in service/repair of industrial equipment including hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Field-related certificates and endorsements reviewed; able to read variable schematic logic for low/high voltage electrical and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors on heavy lift equipment and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Interfacing with customers and internal teams to support needs.
• Evaluate and recommend repairs.
• Document work orders and reports clearly.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance to zero incidents.
• Assist in delivering training to coworkers.
• Travel domestically and internationally, including Canada, for service and training as required.
