Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker. The Yard Associate stations and retrieves equipment on the location's property, maintains a written maintenance schedule, and inspects equipment before and after rental to document any losses or damage.

This role offers a path to advancement into mechanic, driver or customer service roles, in a safety-focused culture with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401(k) match

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral).
• Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property.
• Maintain a written maintenance schedule and service equipment as necessary.
• Inspect equipment before and after rental to document losses or damage.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement.
