Job summary

Hinckley Yachts is seeking an Outboard Foreman to lead the service department's daily operations and a team of technicians at our Rhode Island waterfront facility.

You will supervise repairs, develop schedules, manage timelines and customer expectations while ensuring profitable service delivery. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of sterndrive/outboard repair experience and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in sterndrive and outboard repair, maintenance, and electrical diagnosis.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Engine-specific certifications highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Guide and support technicians, ensuring high standards; train and mentor junior staff; communicate with customers regarding service needs, timelines and estimates.
• Repairs: Maintain marine outboard and inboard motors; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues; install new outboard engines with controls and accessories.
• Product Lines: Master in various outboard engines (Mercury, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha); work with mechanical systems and basic 12/24-volt circuits.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to manufacturing safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Other: Willing to educate themselves on OEM training/requirements; perform all duties as assigned.
