Job summary

Hinckley Yachts is seeking a skilled Marine Diesel Mechanic to service high-performance vessels. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain multiple engine types and propulsion systems, using OEM software and diagnostic tools.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on problem solving, and teamwork in a premium waterfront setting. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of marine mechanics experience, familiarity with Yanmar and Volvo Penta platforms, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in marine mechanics.
• ABYC certification preferred; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to diagnose and repair marine systems.
• Repairs: Perform skilled repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
• Product lines: Service Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, and FPT engines.
• Safety: Adhere to safety standards and guidelines in all tasks.
• Other: All duties as assigned.
