Job summary

The Moorings Yacht Charters is seeking a proactive Yacht Broker to drive Leopard Brokerage listings and Moorings/Sunsail sales. The role requires travel to boat shows and client sites, with a primary focus on listings and market activity, plus some crossover responsibilities for the Moorings and Sunsail fleets.

You will engage with clients via phone and email, build relationships, and work toward closing deals while leveraging HubSpot to manage communications and contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong sales background with experience and success in a previous sales position is preferred but not necessary.
• Strong geographical knowledge and a passion for travel.
• Excellent communicator and negotiator.
• High standard of customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Consulting and relationship building with clients.
• Convert leads into sales with a confident phone presence and follow-up.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email about yacht sales processes.
• Gain knowledge of Leopard Brokerage and Moorings/Sunsail products and procedures.
• Utilize HubSpot for communications and contracts generation.
• Drive sales process from initial contact to closing and exceed objectives.
• Assist in marketing plan development with the Brokerage Manager.
• Attend boat shows, trade shows, and events as required.
• Coordinate boat showings, visits, and sea trials.

We are looking to hire a Yacht Broker to join our team! Reporting to the Brokerage Marine Manager. There is a primary and secondary focus to this position. The primary focus is to obtain listings for Leopard Brokerage, market them and sell them. However, there will be some occasional crossover in this role is to sell The Moorings, Sunsail Used yachts, and Brokerage yachts coming out of the Moorings, and Sunsail fleet triggered by customer’s requests. This role will require some travel including but not limited to boat shows, open houses, and yacht showings. As a new hire you can expect to close on your first boat in the first 2-3 months.

What you’ll do:

• Consulting and relationship building.
• Self-assured and energetic telephone presence and the capability to convert leads into sales.
• Exceptional communication skills to correspond with clients by phone and email to help them navigate all aspects of Yacht Sales.
• Gain in-depth knowledge and expertise of Leopard Brokerage products and procedures and The Moorings Yacht Brokerage products and procedures.
• Become proficient in the use of the HubSpot Lead Database System for communication and contracts generation purposes.
• Exceed sales and margin objectives and conduct the entire sales process from initial contact to closing.
• Help assist in the development and execution of the marketing plan in collaboration with the Leopard/Moorings Brokerage Manager.
• Attend and assist in the preparation of boat shows, trade shows, and other events as required by THL Marine.
• Coordinate showing boats and visits of your clients, and sea trials as needed.
• Travel to bases, other offices or remote boat locations from time to time will be required.
• Handle all inquiries in a professional, team oriented, and detailed manner.
