Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Ascension St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in Carmel, IN. You will prepare and position patients for imaging studies and operate imaging equipment to acquire quality diagnostic images.

You will administer contrast media in accordance with clinical guidelines and monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist credential within 180 days of hire date.
• ARRT certification is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting appropriate exposure factors.
• Administer contrast media and medications according to scope of practice and regulations.
• Closely observe patients during procedures, reporting any abnormal activity.
• Strictly adhere to radiation safety to prevent unnecessary patient exposure.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• ARRT required
