Job summary

Workiva, Inc. is seeking an SEC Reporting Consultant to apply accounting acumen on a project basis, providing customer project management, XBRL data modeling, mapping, tagging, and review of XBRL projects in compliance with quality standards.

You will gain comprehensive training in XBRL principles and use the Workiva platform to facilitate client filings, with opportunities to collaborate across internal teams and potentially travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience, CPA firm or financial reporting environment preferred.
• CPA or CIA certification (preferred).
• Strong understanding of SEC/GAAP reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Model XBRL mapping using taxonomy concepts.
• Interpret taxonomy guidance to ensure accurate tag choices.
• Tag values in financial statements and notes to the appropriate concepts.
• Determine whether values are stated at point in time or over a period.
• Master financial reporting topics across stock-based compensation, fair value, derivatives, taxes, inventories, and leases.
• Map documents to GAAP/IFRS taxonomies and review accounting policies and notes.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Learning to standardize changes.
