Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Radiology Technologist to obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations and support patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure image quality while adhering to ALARA safety standards. The role includes portable x-ray work, shift flexibility, and collaboration with clinicians, with opportunities to use EPIC and PACS systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting technical factors.
• Adheres to ALARA principles for radiation safety and patient protection.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, ORs, and ERs.
• Maintains and cleans the x-ray room and manages supplies.
• Performs administrative duties including scheduling and patient instruction.
• Operates EPIC, PACS, Teletracking systems and other hospital computer systems.
