Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, providing immobilization devices, shielding, and selecting factors.
• Uses clinical information from records and care teams to plan scanning protocols and ensure patient safety.
• Adheres to ALARA principles with proper collimation and safe practice.
• Performs portable x-ray exams in patient rooms, ORs, and ERs.
• Identifies and marks images correctly and follows departmental procedures.
• Processes and reconstructs images using standard methods.
• Maintains organized x-ray room and manages supplies.
• Assists in preparing radiopaque contrast media and administers as needed.
• Fulfills scheduling, patient instruction, charting, and receptionist duties.
• Provides patient movement assistance and adheres to department policies.
• May require on-call shifts and weekend work as per policy.
