Job summary

Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program is required; 1 year of radiology experience is preferred. BLS certification within 90 days is required, with state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray technologist experience in a healthcare setting; 2 years preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Position patient under X-ray machine, adjust immobilization devices, and provide radiation protection.
• Perform radiographic exams ordered by physicians with proper positioning and ALARA compliance.
• Assist physicians with procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.
• Prepare reports and maintain radiology records; manage X-ray logs and referrals.
• Maintain supplies and comply with OSHA safety standards; document activities accurately.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
