Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Houston seeks an X-Ray Technologist to produce diagnostic X-ray exams with precision and compassion. You will position patients, follow ALARA principles, and ensure image quality meets clinical standards for referral physicians.

You will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, manage your workflow, mentor students, and participate in a team that values safety, efficiency, and patient comfort. ARRT certification, state licensure, BLS, and PACS/RIS/EMR proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (R) required and state licensure where applicable.
• Current BLS certification or in progress.
• 1-2 years X-ray experience preferred; outpatient/ambulatory care a plus.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems; understanding ALARA principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams with correct technique and positioning.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and provide diagnostic-grade results.
• Maintain workflow and adapt to a high-volume schedule with minimal supervision.
• Mentor students rotating through clinical areas and uphold professional standards.
• Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and teammates; ensure safety.
