Job summary

Akumin is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a PRN/part-time role at the Royal Palm facility in Tampa, FL. The candidate will produce high-quality diagnostic x-ray images while adhering to radiation safety protocols and proper documentation.

Customer and radiologist communication is essential, and there may be opportunities to train junior technologists or patient coordinators. Required ARRT (R) certification and state license where applicable, CPR certification, and the ability to work at

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification and state license where applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot X-ray units and peripheral equipment including PACS.
