Job summary

Akumin is seeking an X-Ray Technologist at our Royal Palm facility for a PRN position. The Radiology Technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic x-ray images with strict attention to radiation safety and proper documentation, collaborating with radiologists as needed.

Requirements include ARRT (R) and state license, CPR certification, High School diploma (Associate’s degree preferred); ability to work at multiple locations; good customer service and organizational skills; occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
• Team members must be able to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Ensures patient safety and pre-screening for contra-indications.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (including PACS).
