Job summary

Akumin Inc. is hiring a PRN X-Ray Technologist for the Royal Palm facility in Florida.

The Radiology Technologist will produce high quality diagnostic digital x-ray images with strict attention to radiation safety and proper documentation, while communicating effectively with radiologists and patients. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred), ARRT (R) and state license if applicable, CPR certification, and ability to work across locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable, required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to safety.
• Adheres to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation.
• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening when applicable.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment.
