Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a X-ray Technologist to support diagnostic radiographic exams in a busy radiology department. You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, ensure radiation safety, and maintain study documentation in EPIC/PACS.

The role requires an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, strong communication, and computer skills; candidates must meet NJ licensing requirements and be prepared for shifts including holidays and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite)

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors
• Uses procedures to ensure patient safety and accurate information from medical records
• Operates imaging equipment and reconstructs images for quality results
• Performs portable x-ray exams in patient rooms, ORs, or ERs
• Manages scheduling, patient instruction, and documentation in EPIC/PACS
• Assists in maintaining x-ray room and supplies while adhering to ALARA principles
